January the Twenty-second………Bin Day! Getting the right rubbish out on the right day ………..Oooer….

January the Twenty-third……..After all that rain ……snow again, freezing cold….January in Orkney…..feeding the birds……..

Then the Hoodies turned up, and the other birds scarpered – Hooded Crows, that is!
January the Twenty-fourth…..there’s sunlight – moonlight – starlight and ….snowlight…….

January the Twenty-fifth…. A month since Christmas..…. snowlight..…icelight….

January the Twenty-sixth……Blue sky up above…..Covid on the computer…..

January the Twenty-seventh………Phew……Mike has got as far as reading ‘Hearing Secret Harmonies’ – the last volume of ‘A Dance To The Music Of Time’ by Anthony Powell. It’s the last of TWELVE volumes!

That could be something to embark on during Lockdown? I read the whole series years ago, and tried again recently – but – I don’t like the people, don’t want to spend time with them. So, I decided to read about robots instead, who, thanks to the Three Laws of Robotics, can be much better people, than people. https://theorkneynews.scot/2020/05/03/i-discover-isaac-asimov/
January the Twenty-eighth………First full moon of the New Year…..or is it a Black Sabbath album cover?

I’ve been thinking about the first full moon of the New Year – the planets are still dancing to the music of time – have done so for a long time – presumably will, for time to come – whatever is happening here below.
Though – we dance with them – the tides – the sunlight needed for life – we all dance together – one day, one week, one month, one year at a time.
A lovely thought Bernie. Unlike the planets, we only get a few dances in our time here, and that’s something I think about a lot. How we feel we’re everything whilst we are not really that much. And that’s ok, because that’s how it’s supposed to be
