Weather Forecast: Dry with sunny spells developing

Today 17th April:

Rather cloudy start but it will be a dry day with sunny spells developing through the morning. Light winds at first across Orkney, otherwise an occasionally fresh southeasterly breeze. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Remaining dry with some late sunny then clear spells, although cloud, especially across Orkney increasing towards the end of the night. Occasionally strong southeasterly winds. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

Sunday 18th April:

A dry day for Shetland with sunny spells. However Orkney, especially the west, looks cloudier with a little rain possible. Occasionally strong southeasterly breeze. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Mostly dry and bright Monday. Cloudier and cooler Tuesday and Wednesday with showers or longer spells of rain with winds turning more northwesterly and strengthening, risk of gales on Wednesday.
