A bright day with some sunny intervals. Also a few showers, with the odd heavy one possibly accompanied by hail or sleet. Light to moderate northeasterly breeze. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Tonight:

Bright spells in the evening then clear spells overnight with occasional showers, some heavy with hail or sleet. Strengthening northeasterly winds. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Thursday April 29:

A mixture of bright spells and a few showers. Feeling cold in the fresh northeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Fewer showers on Friday and Saturday with lighter winds and some night frosts. Further showers on Sunday, some heavy with hail.

I’d just like to mention that we didn’t go near the swan in the photo – Mike took that photo with his v. good camera from right across the road, as previously mentioned here….https://theorkneynews.scot/2020/06/05/the-last-first-of-brodgar/

I’ll take this opportunity to ask folk to be aware of not disturbing the creatures which we so much like to see, but should leave to live their lives in peace.
