A rather cloudy morning with outbreaks of rain but towards midday brighter conditions spread east with sunny spells and occasional showers following for the afternoon. Fresh westerly or southwesterly winds, becoming strong at times in afternoon. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
Some late sunny then clear spells this evening and overnight with further showers. The showers pushing through quickly on the occasionally strong westerly breeze. Minimum temperature 8 °C.
Saturday 12th June:
Quite a lot of cloud through the morning with showers these dying out with more in the way of sunshine by early afternoon. Strong westerly winds easing later. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Some sunny spells across Orkney but Sunday rather cloudy with occasional rain. Sunny spells and showers through Monday, the showers easing Tuesday afternoon as the occasionally strong westerly winds ease.
