Weather Forecast: Orkney warmer, drier, brighter.

Today 13th June:

Shetland overcast with occasional rain or drizzle, also some fog patches. Orkney mainly dry through the morning with best of limited brighter spells east of Kirkwall, turning cloudier for the afternoon with patchy rain more likely. Southwest winds occasionally strong. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Tonight:

Occasional rain early evening, which passes to the east from late evening as clear spells and isolated light showers follow from west. Winds southwest strong, perhaps near gale overnight. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Monday 14th of June:

A much fresher day with temperatures well down from Sunday. A mix of brighter spells and occasional light showers, brought on the strong to near gale west to southwest winds. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Tuesday mainly dry and bright, but rain spreading from west late in day which clears to east early Wednesday. A mix of scattered showers and brighter spells thereafter.
