Weather Forecast: Dry with sunny spells

Today 1st July:

A dry and bright day generally with some long spells of sunshine. However eastern parts of both Shetland and Orkney may see some low cloud and mist, especially later in the day. Mainly light northerly breeze. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Some late sunshine, especially in western parts, but cloud and mist in the east spreading west through the evening. Risk of some patchy light drizzle through the early hours. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Friday 2nd July:

Eastern Shetland looks mostly cloudy and misty, but western Shetland and Orkney will see some sunny spells developing through the morning. Cloudier again in evening with occasional rain possible. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Saturday to Monday:

Unsettled through the weekend and Monday with rather a lot of cloud and showers or longer spells of rain. Freshening southeasterly winds.
