Week Twenty-six – half way through the year – Yikes!!!!!

June the Twenty-fifth…………………… My new prescription glasses arrived from Specsavers………..Hurrah!  I can see better…..in fact….to paraphrase Johnny Nash…….”I can see clearly now my specs have come……..” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g_rB4v75jqU

June the Twenty-sixth…………………Beware!  Grumpy Moth Monster in the undergrowth……………

June the Twenty-seventh………………Blue skies…..Blue butterfly………Sand Geo, Marwick…

June the Twenty-eighth………….Elocution exercise……’Around The Rugged Rocks The Ragged Robin Ramped’….or something like that…..

June the Twenty-ninth………………Cat Watching…..Cat Hunting…….Mike was having his after-work constitutional, when along the track he came across two Siamese cats!  A very unusual sight – most cats round here are very much mongrel moggies. They were both just standing about, being Siamese cats, when one of them suddenly leapt into the ditch, legs in the air – Mike was shaping up to photograph them anyway, so he was ready to catch the moment. I think that was the end of some unlucky rodent!

June the Thirtieth……………..Evening sunlight through the Sage….Glorious colour and scent….Then a few leaves added to the potato salad for tea!

July the First………………Bales in the fields…….Trees in full leaf……Crops coming along nicely……….A fine July day in Orkney………
