Dear Orkney News,

I was hoping that one of your followers on the Orkney News would maybe know of the person called Rita Newlands.

I think this would be her maiden name.Maybe even her family still stay in Orkney.

This was my cousins letter from Rita. Her name was Elaine Suttie.

Unfortunately Elaine passed away in her teens with blood poisoning due to undiagnosed appendicitis.

Looks like Rita and Elaine were good friends.

My cousin is from Dysart Fife Scotland so maybe Rita moved to Orkney or was a family friend.I would love to give this letter to a relative of Rita’s.
