Dry in the morning and early afternoon, a little brightness possible especially across Orkney. Low cloud and some patchy drizzle spreading from the west through the afternoon with some fog patches developing. Mainly light winds. Maximum temperature 17 °C.


A dull misty evening with a little drizzle and extensive fog over high ground and western coasts. The mist lifting overnight though staying cloudy. Moderate west or northwest breeze. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Tuesday 20th July:

A rather cloudy day but it will be dry with the cloud breaking to allow a few sunny intervals, more especially over Orkney. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Mostly cloudy and generally dry, a little patchy drizzle and mist at times though mainly over Shetland. Some sunnier interludes. Light winds. Information from The Met office
