The Northlight Gallery’s latest exhibition in Stromness is ‘Our Lockdown Journey’ – a mixture of exhibits illustrating what the restrictions of the pandemic meant for those participating.
Up till now the gallery has only been able to use its windows to exhibit but now there is limited opening.
Up to 10 people wearing masks from 4 households can enter the gallery to see the show.
Owner of the gallery Cary Welling said:
“It isn’t the proper opening with a preview party that I wanted but it feels timely.
“35 people have brought or sent in work: paintings, drawings, prints, photographs, carvings, ceramic pot lamps (showstoppers these!), artist books, collages, embroidery, tapestries, and knitting!
“Do come and see it if you can.”
The exhibition is open every day except Sunday from 11 am to 4pm – from Saturday 17th of July to Wednesday 4th of August.
