Weather Forecast: Cloudy start but becoming brighter

Today 25th July:

A cloudy morning with patchy light drizzle but, especially across western parts of both Orkney and Shetland, becoming brighter with perhaps some afternoon sunshine. It will feel warm, especially across western parts with mainly light easterly winds. Maximum temperature 19 °C.

Tonight:

Low cloud and mist returning to most parts through the evening. Occasionally heavy outbreaks of showery rain spread northwest into the Northern Isles towards dawn. Mainly light winds. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Monday 26th July:

A mostly cloudy day with further outbreaks of occasionally heavy showery rain. Winds remain light across Orkney but Shetland sees a freshening northeasterly breeze. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Continuing unsettled with showers or longer spells of rain, these occasionally heavy and perhaps thundery. Haar likely to be extensive at times. Information from The Met Office
