Brighter spells in short supply with cloud quite extensive, also some mist and low cloud, chiefly around Shetland. Most dry through the morning, then increasing risk of showers late in the day, perhaps turning heavy over Orkney towards early evening. Maximum temperature 18 °C.
Tonight:
A rather cloudy night with occasional showers pushing through on the moderate south to southeast breezes. Some of the showers will be heavy, particularly towards dawn. Minimum temperature 11 °C.
Thursday 5th August:
Mainly cloudy with further showers, these heaviest and most frequent through the morning. Winds from south to southeast occasionally fresh around Shetland. Maximum temperature 18 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
The showery theme persists with outbreaks most frequent and heavy Friday, then more isolated through the weekend as brighter spells prosper. Fresh to strong southeast winds backing northeast by Sunday. Information from The Met Office
