August the Sixth………….White Spear Thistles…………….I didn’t know they existed……But they do…..And I likes thistles……..

August the Seventh………..A Linnet in the gravel……Feasting on the seeds of Self-heal……But, but, but, later on……In the evening……Mrs. Harrier …About 15ft from the front of our house……Sideways on.….Banking.

Birds….A constant source of admiration, enjoyment and appreciation….Little & Large.

August the Eighth……..The Bay of Ireland on a sunny August Orkney day……..Peace-full…….The world and its troubles a million miles away…….Sometimes you just have to step away from it for a while………..

August the Ninth…………..Today’s pic-of-the-day is…….Nasturtiums have grown through the wall….. We were singing  “Break on through to the other side” ….Fans of ‘The Doors’ will recognize the song.

And that’s what we’ll need to do….Break on through to the other side…….

August the Tenth………..”There’s a frog in me bird bath, what am I gonna do?” – Apologies to UB40…….Mike went to fill up the bird bath, and a frog poured out of the watering can!

But how on earth did it get there?  Seriously – how?  I bet it’s pleased to be in the pond – much more of a Des. Res. for a frog than a watering can!

August the Eleventh……….Ten past seven in the morning………’There’s a bright golden haze on the meadow’………..I do like songs………

August the Twelfth…………..Mike’s new walking shoes arrived…..And they’re comfy……..It matters……He walks a lot……..
