Rather cloudy, particularly across Orkney in the morning where there will be some light showery rain. However some limited brighter spells also, chiefly across Shetland and more cloud breaks in the afternoon, light winds too. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Becoming cloudier through the evening with the risk of patchy light rain and drizzle at times. A more definite area of rain moves south later in the night. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Wednesday 18th August:

Quite a wet and windy start for Orkney on Wednesday but Shetland drier and brighter and this will spread south. A few afternoon showers likely. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
