It will be a mainly dry but rather cloudy day, with the best chance of any sunny interludes over Orkney. Shetland will see some low cloud and mist at times and there will be a little light rain later. Maximum temperature 17 °C.

Tonight:

A cloudy evening with some patchy haar and a little light rain or drizzle. Staying dry overnight but becoming mainly dry. A moderate to fresh southwest breeze. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Tuesday 7th September:

A lot of dry but rather cloudy weather with occasional haar and drizzle for Shetland. A few brighter spells in Orkney where becoming quite warm. Maximum temperature 18 °C.

Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:

Low cloud and haar will be more widespread on Wednesday, with patchy rain too. Brighter for time on Thursday but showery later. Friday mainly dry but with a haar risk.
