Weather Report: Dry, rather cloudy but brighter spells

Today 7th September:

A lot of dry but rather cloudy weather, but there will be some brighter spells and even some sunny intervals the best of these over Orkney where becoming rather warm. Moderate to fresh southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 18 °C.


Staying mostly dry but there will be a few patches of light rain or drizzle.An increasing risk of mist and fog across Shetland. Minimum temperature 13 °C.

Wednesday 8th September:

A short spell of rain possible over Shetland in the morning with some mist then a sunnier afternoon. Orkney warm and sunny. Haar risk increasing again by evening. Maximum temperature 20 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

A very changeable few days, with some heavy rain or showers at times, some haar, but also some warmer sunnier spells too.
