It will be mainly dry with some bright spells, the best of these across Orkney and feeling very warm. Patchy low cloud and mist affecting Shetland with the odd shower possible. Light or moderate south or southwest winds. Maximum temperature 21 °C.
Rather cloudy with showery outbreaks of rain, heavy at times across Shetland. Mist and fog is expected to become extensive overnight with winds mostly light. Minimum temperature 13 °C.
Thursday 9th September:
Grey and overcast with extensive mist and fog. Showery outbreaks of rain, some heavy, these mainly affecting Shetland. Light and variable winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Haar still expected on Friday with some showers or drizzle at times. Outbreaks of rain on Saturday, turning drier and brighter on Sunday. Freshening northeast winds at times.
