Orkney will be dry with some sunny periods. Shetland seeing variable amounts of cloud and perhaps some brightness, a little light rain may drift north this afternoon. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

A mainly cloud evening and night with some occasional rain. Rain may turn more persistent and occasionally heavy later in the night. Some misty low cloud developing. Minimum temperature 12 °C.

Sunday 19th September:

Cloudy with rain at times, Orkney turning drier and somewhat brighter from the west in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Patchy rain and strengthening southerly winds developing for a time on Monday. Windy with southwesterly gales on Tuesday, rain later. Breezy with showers on Wednesday.
