Bright and sunny spells mixed with scattered showers, with the risk of a few turning heavy bringing the chance of some of thunder. Strong to near gale southwest winds slowly easing from the south. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Tonight:
Continuing with showers and clear spells, with outbreaks scattered through the evening, but very isolated overnight with any staying dry. Winds easing light and veering northwest by dawn. Minimum temperature 5 °C.
Tuesday 5th October:
Mostly dry and sunny by day with northerly breezes developing. Cloud increasing from the east during the evening with showery rain developing overnight in Shetland. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Rain at first Wednesday soon clearing to leave a dry, bright day. Thursday and Friday rather cloudy with rain, heavy and persistent at times, particularly for Thursday.
