A bright day with some sunshine at times. A few showers this morning then more frequent, heavy showers this afternoon and evening. Fresh southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 12 °C.
Tonight:
Clear periods with showers continuing early tonight, dying out later. Orkney will become cloudy by morning along with a strengthening southerly wind. Minimum temperature 6 °C.
Tuesday 26th October:
Dry, bright start in Shetland. Cloudy skies and rain soon reaching Orkney will extend to Shetland by the afternoon. Becoming milder with strong southerly winds. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
A showery few days with some of the showers heavy and prolonged. Some drier, brighter periods too. Southerly winds will be strong at times and temperatures on the mild side.
