A dry and bright start. Cloud and showery rain, heavy at times, will soon spread north into Orkney before reaching Shetland in the afternoon with strong southerly winds. Becoming drier and brighter with winds easing across Orkney in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Cloudy and breezy with outbreaks of heavy rain across Shetland but rain easing overnight. Clear spells and a few passing showers across Orkney. Minimum temperature 5 °C.
Sunday 31st October:
Dry for much of the day with spells of hazy sunshine. Heavy rain will spread up into Orkney late afternoon then across Shetland in the evening with strong easterly winds. Maximum temperature 10 °C.
Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:
Feeling somewhat colder with showers on Monday and Tuesday, possibly heavy at times. The showers will become lighter and die out during Wednesday.
