October the Twenty-second……………………..A shag on the rocks………..Sounds like a risqué cocktail….

October the Twenty-third………..Finished tidying the veg patch……..Potted up more of the ‘spare’ plants which had seeded there…….A boot-i-full collection for someone’s garden…….Spreading the good stuff….

October the Twenty-fourth……………..Hurrah!…..Mike has finished the stone work on the Broch of Gorseness………Now for the roof……..

October the Twenty-fifth…………Each day…….A new day……..Some brighter than others…..

October the Twenty-sixth………………..”If you’re troubled, send your mind out on vacation…….let it wander like the wild geese in the West.”….’Mighty Re-arranger’ – Robert Plant.

October the Twenty-seventh………Listenin’ to Bo Diddley…….When The Blues…….Eases the blues……

October the Twenty-eighth……………..‘Like a bird, on a wire…….’  And, this picture reminded me of a tale a neighbour told me.  Years ago there were a lot of power cuts in this area.  The people from the Hydro came out to investigate and found that a pair of crows had built their nest on top of the transformer box.  They had included barbed wire in the nest, which was somehow shorting the electricity.  A barbed-wire nest!  They breed ‘em tough in Gorseness!
