West or southwesterly gales will ease during the morning. Mainly dry with bright intervals and the odd shower across Shetland. Rain spreading north across Orkney through the morning, turning heavier in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 12 °C.
Tonight:
A largely dry evening across Shetland but outbreaks of rain across Orkney. This rain will extend up into Shetland overnight. Occasionally fresh westerly winds. Minimum temperature 8 °C.
Saturday 20th November:
A cloudy start with some heavy rain. This clearing to sunny spells and showers, some of these heavy with hail and thunder possible. Becoming colder with strengthening winds turning northerly. Maximum temperature 9 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Bright spells on Sunday with showers, these wintry at first. Feeling cold with brisk northerly winds. A little milder on Monday and Tuesday with a few showers.
