Weather Forecast: Squally showers in the freshening northwesterly winds.

Today 24th November:

A day of blustery, occasionally heavy, showers, brought on strong westerly winds, which veer to a gale to severe gale north to northwesterly from evening, feeling very cold too. A few brighter spells too but these less frequent by afternoon. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Tonight:

Squally blustery showers continuing and turning to sleet or hail at times especially for Shetland. Severe gales easing a little later in the night and a few clear spells later. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Thursday 25th November:

A cold day with wintry showers continuing, northwesterly winds easing for a time and some bright spells too. Heavier rain likely during the evening and winds strengthen again too. Maximum temperature 5 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

An unsettled start to the weekend with northerly severe gales developing on Friday and further wintry showers these continuing on Saturday. Sunday looks calmer with less showers.
