Another cold day, especially for Shetland. However, mainly dry across Shetland with some morning sunshine, increasingly cloudy in the afternoon. Cloudier across Orkney, rain in the afternoon. Light winds. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Rain over Orkney spreads to southern Shetland late evening. Showers across northern Shetland overnight. Rain sinks south towards the end of the night, showers across the Northern Isles turning wintery. Minimum temperature -1 °C.
Wednesday 1st December:
A cold day with northerly winds strengthening through the day, bringing frequent, often heavy, wintery showers. Maximum temperature 3 °C.
Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:
Bright and chilly with wintry showers dying out later on Thursday. Rain moving east on Friday, clearing to a few showers later. Further showers Saturday
