Tonight:

A cloudy evening and night. Showers turn a bit heavier and more frequent across Orkney, but tending to die out from around midnight across Shetland. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

Wednesday 22nd December:

A largely dry but rather cloudy day for Shetland. A band of rain slowly drifts north across Orkney, perhaps reaching southern Shetland by evening. Light winds. Maximum temperature 4 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Rain or showers and strengthening southeast winds Thursday. Mainly dry but breezy Friday, a few wintery showers. Winds easing, but wintery showers Saturday, mainly over Shetland.
