Mainly dry this evening. Showers becoming more frequent for a time in the early hours, turning wintry across Shetland later. Winds easing for a time, freshening later on. Icy patches. Minimum temperature 2 °C.
Friday 24th December:
A bright day with some wintry showers across Shetland, Orkney will be mainly dry. Cold northeasterly winds in the morning, easing in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 4 °C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday:
Cold and bright with the chance of the odd wintry shower. Overnight frost. Light winds.
