Mainly dry and clear this evening. The rest of the night will be mainly dry with lengthy clear periods, perhaps an odd shower across Shetland. Cold with some frost. Minimum temperature 0 °C.

Wednesday 29th December:

Dry for most of the day. Turning wet for a time across Orkney late afternoon and Shetland early evening. Drier weather following on in the evening. Maximum temperature 8 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Breezy with showers or longer spells of rain on Thursday. Dry, bright on Friday. Some early rain on Saturday, then dry but rather windy.
