Get ready for the RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch of 2022 which takes place for one hour between 28 and 30 January 2022.

More than a million people last year took part in the huge survey of Britain’s birds, surely the largest citizen science project in the world.

1. Watch the birds around you for one hour

2. Count how many of each species of bird lands on your patch

3. Go online and record what you saw
