There is still time to contribute to the Scottish Government’s consultation on future onshore wind projects.
The closing date for sharing your views is the 21st of January 2022.
The UK currently has 14.1GW of installed onshore wind, with 8.4GW of this in Scotland. Scotland additionally has around 9.7GW of onshore wind currently in the pipeline, spread over 202 different projects.
The Scottish Government is seeking views on their ambition for an additional 8-12GW of onshore wind to be installed in Scotland by 2030 to help it meet its net zero commitment.
