Today 14th January:

A mainly dry day, with the best of any sunny intervals expected across Shetland. Orkney mainly cloudy, with some light rain arriving towards evening. Fresh northwest winds at first over Shetland, otherwise lighter winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

Some early clear intervals over Shetland, but low cloud, mist and patchy rain over Orkney will push up to Shetland late evening. Slightly clearer by morning with the odd shower. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Saturday 15th January:

Rather cloudy with a few light showers, and just the odd bright or sunny interval. Moderate southwesterly breeze. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Gales, briefly severe, and occasional showers on Sunday, mainly dry, cloudy and less windy on Monday. Some rain possible later Tuesday.
