Today 25th February:
A few wintry showers at first, mainly across Shetland but these dying out during the morning, then dry and bright with some sunshine. Clouds increasing across Orkney with perhaps some rain late in the afternoon, as southerly winds freshen. Maximum temperature 5 °C.
Tonight:
Outbreaks of rain over Orkney spreading northeast to Shetland during the evening, most of this light and largely dying out overnight, although remaining rather cloudy. Strengthening southerly winds. Minimum temperature 3 °C.
Saturday 26th February:
A mainly dry day with clouds thinning at times to give some brighter spells with perhaps some sunshine for Orkney later. Milder than of late with strong southerly winds. Maximum temperature 8 °C.
Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:
Rain for a time on Sunday, brighter later as winds ease, then rain clearing to wintery showers on Monday. Further showers on Tuesday with strong westerly winds, easing later.
