Today 1st March:

A bright day with sunny spells and showers, but the showers becoming more isolated through the afternoon. Strong southwesterly winds, with gales at first over Shetland, easing later. Maximum temperature 8 °C.


The last of any showers will die out to leave a dry night with long clear spells. A frost will develop in sheltered areas as winds continue to ease. Minimum temperature 1 °C.

Wednesday 2nd March:

A dry day with long sunny spells in the morning. Turning a little cloudier in the afternoon with strengthening southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Outbreaks of rain spreading east on Thursday with strong southerly winds. Rain followed by sunshine and showers on Friday. Mainly dry and bright but feeling cold on Saturday.
