A dry day with long sunny spells in the morning. Turning a little cloudier in the afternoon with strengthening southeasterly winds, particularly across Orkney. Shetland likely to see very little cloud well into the evening. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Tonight:

Cloud will increase during the evening for Orkney, Shetland seeing little cloud until after midnight. Strong southerly winds continuing and perhaps some patchy rain for Orkney too. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Thursday 3rd March:

Cloudy on Thursday with a few outbreaks of rain but mainly light and patchy, strong southerly winds continuing. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

A few showers on Friday but light winds, leading to a settled weekend of light winds and some bright and dry weather.
