Tonight:

A largely cloudy night with outbreaks of rain, becoming persistent over Shetland later. Southeasterly gales or severe gales, easing later across Orkney. Minimum temperature 3 °C.

Saturday 12th March:

Mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain but drier and brighter weather reaching Orkney later. Fresh southeasterly winds, with gales at first over Shetland. Maximum temperature 9 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Windy again on Sunday with southeasterly gales and showery rain. A few showers on Monday with winds easing. Mainly dry, bright and breezy on Tuesday.
