A rather cloudy start with frequent showers. Turning mainly dry and brighter by the afternoon with just a few scattered showers across Shetland. Sunny spells developing across Orkney. Northwest winds easing to moderate over Shetland, light winds over Orkney. Maximum temperature 4 °C.

Tonight:

A mainly dry evening and night. Mostly cloudy with mainly high cloud across Orkney, patchy lower cloud across Shetland. Light winds. Minimum temperature -2 °C.

Monday 11th April:

A dry day. Rather cloudy with occasional brighter spells. Southeast winds increasing to moderate, occasionally fresh later across Orkney. Maximum temperature 7 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Outbreaks of mainly light rain at times with strong southeast winds. Heavier rain early Wednesday, winds turning easterly, then dry with light winds later Wednesday and on Thursday.
