Today 15th April:

A bright day with some sunny spells, the best of these across western parts of Orkney, although Shetland cloudier at times with a few spots of rain. A cool, occasionally fresh southeasterly breeze, although western Orkney will be warmer. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Tonight:

Some late brightness followed by clear spells, but a narrow band of showery rain spreads northeast through the evening and overnight. Occasionally strong southeasterly winds. Minimum temperature 5 °C.

Saturday 16th April:

Any rain or showers soon clearing then a dry and bright with some good sunny spells, especially across Orkney. Increasing risk of haar for eastern Orkney and Shetland. Southeasterly breeze. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Cloudy start with patchy rain Sunday but brighter later. Sunny spells Monday with a few showers possible, especially across Orkney. Dry on Tuesday with sunny spells. Mainly southeasterly winds throughout
