It will be a dry day with mostly cloudy skies across Shetland but some bright spells will develop across Orkney. A risk of haar for northeast coast of Orkney and Shetland later this morning and during afternoon. Southeasterly breeze. Maximum temperature 14 °C.


Staying mainly dry with extensive mist and low cloud becoming more patchy later tonight. A few clear intervals developing. Brisk southerly winds. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Sunday 17th April:

Dry and rather cloudy but some bright or sunny spells developing, especially across Orkney. Fresh southeasterly winds. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

Rather cloudy on Monday with band of light rain crossing the Isles. Dry, brighter weather following on Tuesday and Wednesday. Brisk southeastery winds.
