Today 13th May:

Some early brightness with isolated showers, but soon cloudy with outbreaks of rain, heaviest and most prolonged across Orkney. Drier, brighter late afternoon, but still some showers. Strengthening southwest winds, perhaps gales over Orkney for a time, then turning westerly. Maximum temperature 12 °C.

Tonight:

Mostly cloudy overnight with showers, but a spell of more prolonged rain over Orkney and heavy at times too. Westerly winds becoming southwesterly and easing. Minimum temperature 7 °C.

Saturday 14th May:

Cloudy start with showers and Shetland could see a longer spell of rain, but gradually becoming mostly dry and bright in the afternoon. Southwesterly winds easing further Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday:

Mainly dry and bright on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday with light winds, but perhaps the odd shower and some patchy low cloud, more especially Shetland. Cloudier and breezier later Tuesday.
