A rather dull morning with cloud, rain and some haar mostly clearing towards midday or early afternoon with the rest of the day remaining mainly dry with some afternoon brightness. Maximum temperature 12 °C.
Tonight:
Mainly dry overnight with a mixture of patchy cloud giving an odd light shower and some clear spells. Light winds at first, generally becoming northerly later. Minimum temperature 7 °C.
Tuesday 24th May:
Mainly dry with some sunny spells, the best of these across Orkney and western Shetland. A little more cloud in the east with fresh northerly winds here. Maximum temperature 12 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Morning cloud and rain clearing to showers on both Wednesday and Thursday with strong westerly winds at times. Strong northwesterly winds and showers on Friday but easing later.
