A dull day with extensive cloud, but staying dry. Best chance limited brighter spells developing late in the day and across north of Shetland, where the northeast winds will be strong at times. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Tonight:
Most continuing overcast, with the chance of the odd drizzly shower appearing over Orkney. Northern parts of Shetland should fair better with some evening sunshine then clear spells. Northeast breezes. Minimum temperature 8 °C.
Thursday 9th June:
The general pattern persists with rather cloudy skies dominating, but cloud not thick enough to bring any rain. Northeast breezes veering to the east late in the day. Maximum temperature 14 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Showery with outbreaks turning more frequent and occasionally heavy for the weekend as the winds veer west to southwest and strengthen.
