A rather cloudy day with outbreaks of mainly light rain. However, Orkney especially, should see some drier and brighter interludes with a few sunny spells. Occasionally fresh southerly or southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Mostly cloudy through this evening and overnight with further outbreaks of rain and drizzle, perhaps a few heavier bursts through the evening. Mainly light southwesterly winds. Minimum temperature 10 °C.

Thursday 16th June:

Rather cloudy start with patchy light rain, but most of the day looks dry and bright with some sunny spells. Cloudier again in evening with some rain. Mainly light winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Cloudy with occasionally heavy rain Friday morning but becoming drier and brighter through afternoon. Rather cool with sunny spells and showers through the weekend as winds gradually turn more northerly.
