A windy day with strong to gale force southwesterly winds. Bright with a few showers in the morning. Cloudier in the afternoon with some longer spells of rain for Shetland and later, Orkney. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Tonight:

Staying quite windy through the evening and overnight, although a touch down from during the day. Rather cloudy at times too with showers or longer spells of rain. Minimum temperature 9 °C.

Sunday 19th June:

Rather cloudy start with showers or longer spells of rain. Turning drier and brighter later in the afternoon. Strong northwesterly winds at first, slowly moderating through the afternoon. Maximum temperature 13 °C.

Outlook for Monday to Wednesday:

A rather cloudy start to the week with some patchy rain and haar at times. Less windy than the weekend but southwesterly winds still occasionally fresh.
