Early showers over Shetland clearing then a dry day with some good spells of sunshine. Cloud and a little rain will reach Orkney this evening. Fresh westerly winds over Orkney, stronger across Shetland. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

Cloudy with rain over Orkney soon extending to Shetland. The rain will be light and patchy at first, becoming more persistent and heavier later tonight. Fresh southwesterly winds. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Wednesday 6th July:

Cloudy with still some light rain in the morning, dying out in the afternoon. A drier, brighter evening to follow with some sunshine. Fresh or strong west then northwest winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Thursday to Saturday:

Mostly dry few days with some bright spells. Thicker cloud for a time on Thursday bringing a little rain and patchy haar. Often fresh or strong west or northwest winds.
