Today 7th August:

A rather cloudy day with a little patchy light rain at times. However, often dry with some bright spells breaking through, the best of these likely to be in the afternoon. Moderate westerly winds. Maximum temperature 16 °C.

Tonight:

Patchy rain or drizzle spreads east this evening and start of the night, bringing low cloud and some mist or fog. Then mostly dry until rain arrives around dawn. Minimum temperature 11 °C.

Monday 8th August:

Low cloud with outbreaks of rain. The rain patchy in the morning, turning persistent and occasionally heavy in the afternoon. Maximum temperature 14 °C.

Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday:

Wet and windy at times across Shetland with outbreaks of rain and drizzle and an occasionally strong westerly or southwesterly wind. Often drier across Orkney, but still rather breezy.
