A cloudy day with showers that occasionally merge to longer periods of rain, more readily during the afternoon. Occasional mist, low cloud and fog patches, clearing from the north as northerly winds freshen for afternoon. Maximum temperature 17 °C.
Tonight:
Continuing unsettled with periods of rain, turning heavier at times, thought drier interludes sporadically spreading from the west. North to northeast winds increasing strong at times overnight. Minimum temperature 11 °C.
Tuesday 16th August:
Cloudy with occasional rain turning heavy at times initially. Gradually improving with largely dry, bright and fresher conditions feeding erratically from the southwest. Cooler than Monday in strengthening northerly winds. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Wednesday and Thursday mainly dry with good bright and sunny periods. Sunshine and showers for Friday.
