Perhaps the odd light shower at first, otherwise a dry and bright day with some sunshine, and feeling quite pleasant with just light winds, although the southeasterly winds will freshen over Orkney later. Maximum temperature 13 °C.
Tonight:
A bright evening with some hazy sunshine then clouds increasing overnight with perhaps some light rain later for Orkney. Strengthening south to southeasterly winds. Minimum temperature 10 °C.
Thursday 18th August:
Cloudy with some rain or showers, this mostly light but there could be the odd heavier burst. Becoming dry across Orkney during the evening. Strong southerly winds, easing later. Maximum temperature 15 °C.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Breezy with sunshine and showers on Friday and during the weekend, merging into longer spells of rain for a times.
