Kirkwall Flower Arrangement Club never cease to amaze and they have done it again this year with a wonderful display in St Magnus Cathedral.

The theme for 2022 is ‘Protecting Our Planet’.

Displays included the titles:

• Plastics
• Self Sufficiency- Grow Your Own Vegetables
• Space Debris
• Recycling
• Wildfires
• Bess & Butterflies
• Melting Ice Caps
• Decarbonising Energy
• A Sea of Plastic
• Electric Car
• Composting
• Endangered Species
• Plant a Tree in the Jubilee

The show also has art work from the pupils of Papdale Primary School, Kirkwall.

And an added pleasure was being able to listen to the Cathedral’s Steinway being beautifully played whilst walking around.

The Festival opening times are:

• Thurs – Sat 9am – 6pm
• Sunday 1pm – 5pm

Donations are very welcome for the Cathedral Restoration Fund.
