It will be dry for most of the day with some hazy sunshine at times, perhaps an isolated light shower at first over Shetland. Winds will be light and variable, becoming southeasterly. Maximum temperature 17 °C.
Still mainly dry, although a few showery outbreaks of rain are likely to develop, mainly across Shetland. Occasional low cloud and haar expected overnight. Minimum temperature 11 °C.
Tuesday 23rd August:
Rather cloudy with occasional rain or showers, the best of the brightness across Orkney with haar affecting Shetland at times. Mainly moderate southeast winds, warm across Orkney. Maximum temperature 20 °C.
Outlook for Wednesday to Friday:
Heavy rain and strong winds early Wednesday, becoming drier and brighter later. Mainly dry and bright on Thursday, but the odd shower possible. Bright with scattered showers on Friday.
