A dry day for the vast majority with good bright and sunny spells developing. However a few light showers may appear. Winds light mainly from the northeast. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Tonight:

Continuing dry and settled with best of the clear spells expected aver Orkney. Winds light northeasterly veering south to the south overnight. Minimum temperature 6 °C.

Thursday 1st September:

Another settled and largely dry day with bright and sunny spells most readily appearing across Orkney. Winds light from south to southeast. Maximum temperature 15 °C.

Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Probably seeing the most settled of Scotlands conditions with most dry with further good bright and sunny spells developing. Freshening easterly winds, occasionally strong over Orkney for the weekend.
